Taking a Pause: Looking Back and Looking Forward

Special Theme on the occasion of our 18 months together

We had a wonderful conversation about ways to bring improvements to our work.

Here are the suggestions for our website*:

• Update logo to be more inclusive (body sizes, mobility differences, skin tones, internationality)

• Make logo bigger

• Make the logo the home page with our message, “community authored resource”

• Use a circle logo

• Keep logo simple

• Write messages in many languages

• Include a link that can translate everything on the website

And some suggestions for the RMMC:

• Invite Rosen Movement and Rosen Bodywork people from the 15 international schools

• Include other languages and cultures

• Use an online translator to make our meetings more accessible

• Have some meetings in languages other than English and use the Zoom translator

• Work together to make our group more inclusive

• Bring smaller, international groups together who can then share with the larger group

• Translate the minutes

Some members stated that they need some support in feeling comfortable with the website, the survey, and other RMMC resources. They will get together and support each other.

Betty said she is feeling inspired to write something about Rosen movement and Zoom. Many members have ideas on this topic and are encouraged to blog together. (Instructions for how to do that will come later.)

At the end of the meeting we said goodbye in Spanish, French, and Gaelic.
